About

Hello. My name is Yoko.

IMG_7176I have been studying and working in the field of massage for over fifteen years. I bring with me a very special skill that I learned and performed while I was living in Japan. It is called an Indian Lymph Drainage massage. This skill was taught to less than ten people in Japan, so no one in the U.S. can do the same massage that I am able to do. I used this technique for 6 years in Japan.

After that, I moved to the U.S. and learned not only massage, but also anatomy and kinesiology at CCBC in Maryland so that I always focus on my clients’ muscles and the bodies what is going on every session.

My skills are Swedish massage, Deep tissue massage, Myofascial release, Shiatsu, Indian Lymph Drainage Technique, Fluid Technique, Thai massage, Lomi Lomi, Myokinesthetic System and Energy Seitai. (Seitai means balancing body in Japanese.)  I am also certified Reiki Level 1. I have learned Aromatherapy and Sports Massage. I use many kinds of techniques that clients’ bodies need for a session, so my massage is unique.

I really would like you to try my Thai Massage. In my Thai Massage, you can wear comfortable clothes because I will stretch you a lot. After the Thai Massage, your body will be opened up and you will have incredible wonderful feeling of your body!

Also, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage is recommended!

When I was doing massage in Japan, I really loved that my massage made my clients happy. Many people had pain, stiffness, or stress, but after the massage, they looked refreshed. Now I massage Americans as well and still feel same. It is my pleasure to help people.

I also worked for a chiropractor’s office in Towson about 3 years, so I like to deal with clients who have different issues (ex: auto accident, rotator cuff problem, neck pain, lower back pain, etc.).

I am also very active. I love yoga, backpacking, skiing, and running. For example, after run a full marathon, my body gets sore and I had rotator cuff problem before, but since I know how to massage and stretch when I had pain, I have been active all the time.

I can use all of my experience and knowledge to my clients. I am so happy to see that my clients’ bodies get better after a massage session.
